Sports Therapy
Acupuncture is one of the more popular types of complementary medicine that athletes use to help control pain, hasten recovery, and treat injury
Enhance Performance and Recovery with Sports Therapy
Acupuncture for sports therapy can be used as a single treatment or in conjunction with chiropractic, myofascial release technique, cupping, and other modalities. It now only allows athletes of all ages and competitive levels an opportunity to heal naturally but also prevent injury and increase their training abilities. In today’s medical world, many sports medicine conditions are treated with medication but that can be very limiting due to the side effects one may encounter. It has thus increasingly grown in popularity and has been highly effective in treating Olympic athletes from many different nations including the United States.
Sports medicine and traditional Chinese medicine work incredibly well together and are great for not only helping resolve injury sustained through athletic performance but also preventing injury. Athletes not only put a lot of strain on their bodies but also their mind. Acupuncture, herbology and other forms of complementary medicine look at the entire body and how each individual part is functioning. Once the correct diagnosis is made, then one can start working on the successful treatment and prevention of injury and illness. Treatments may include acupuncture, Chinese herbology, supplementation, injection therapy, cupping, massage, myofascial release, moxa and other modalities that will be determined based on individualized diagnoses.
Currently we work with local trainers, athletic training facilities, gymnastics studios and are fortunate to help many local athletes in their training and recovery processes.
